Our story

Our story begins in 1977 when Mr. Giannis Koulouridis, opened a small bakery at the same place that Emeral stands today, in order to bake daily on wood coveted bread and sweet smell brioche. His sons, Konstantinos and Andreas were soon beside him, evolving the art of baking and adding pastry and coffee. The aim now of Mrs Koulouridi family, is the quality and continuous creation of new tastes that will be loved by the world.

Soon Emeral, became known for its fresh sweets, variety of products and the immediate and friendly service, both to Corfiots and the visitors who arrived on the island every year for their holidays.

Today Emeral is a famous reference point of Corfu because of its traditional brioche, sweet koks and the macarons with cream, little tarts, delicious cream cakes, cool cakes, the ice cream with fresh milk and finest seasonal fruits, the steamy bread and the crunchy donuts, the vanilla cookies, baklava and the custard filled pastry with goat butter, as well as its delicious and aromatic coffee.

Emeral’s Philosophy

Our philosophy is entirely expressed through two golden flowers; with their leaves woven together the bakery and the pastry arts that transform the fresh ingredients from nature into precious tasty creations through an alchemical process the gold of the alchemists the golden colour of straw two fresh flowers one golden product.

We work together with our customers all the time and create beautiful things that bring positive results and complete satisfaction.
